Things I have been asked;

·         How long have you worked with flowers?

Well, I have been in my childhood garden and used the forest that backed up to my childhood home in Denmark as my personal playground since I was a child – collecting moss and branches, anemones in spring, random wildflowers throughout the summer.

I completed formal floral training in Denmark in 2000, and did part time designing, while I still worked as a nurse.

After relocating to the USA with my husband and children, I became a fulltime florist in 2010, first freelancing and worked in different flower shops. I worked at Valley Forge Flowers in Wayne, PA - part of the job was creating the main entry way for the Philadelphia Flower Show, I did that for 3 years, great experiences!

·         What is your favorite flower?

This is like asking a Mother, who her favorite child is! I love them all!! Some a little more than others, but I cannot say that out loud.

·         How would you describe your style?

A little gardeny, but high end – a boho girl, that likes a glass of champagne!

 I like to mix colors and textures to create a specific emotion, that my client can see themselves in, and hopefully I have added a little something unexpected, that surprises them in a good way.

·         If I give you a photo of a bouquet or arrangement, and ask you to make that, what do you say?

My response is, of course I can do that, I would add my expertise and knowledge to make it special for you – not everything is in season all year round, but there are thousands of flowers to choose from, so why limit yourself or your floral designer 😊

·         What is your favorite type of work?

I have never met an event or an order that I would not do again. Big or small, I do get a little nerdy, and do “my best work” every time – Who is my client, what is the occasion, where will the design be placed/used. I like to go into details to get as much information as I can, in order for me to do my best work.

Weddings/events are always exciting to be a part of, but so is anniversary bouquet, a party in a private home, the birth of a baby, you name it, they are all special and deserve great designed fresh flowers.
